Istanbul
Introduction |
 |
|
| |
Istanbul
is the largest city in Turkey, located
on the Bosphorus strait, and encompasses
the natural harbor known as the Halic
Bay, in the northwest
of the country. Istanbul is a city of
synthesis which realizes in an atmosphere
of tolerance the uniting of the East
and the West on the subjects of culture,
art and religion, at the borders of
two separate continents with one arm
reaching out to Asia and the other arm
to Europe.

Hidiv
Kasri
Hidiv
Kasri is one of the famous landmark
in Istanbul. It was preserved
remnant of Ottoman history and
formerly the residence of the
Egyptian Governor during Ottoman
times. It is now open to the
public, and offers a glorious
restaurant for its visitors.
It's not the easiest place to
find for tourists, but its stunning
architecture and view are well
worth the effort. |
